News Update

Hello all
squid here with a news update on the ghetto cog
so the otherday i was sitting just looking at the spactacular beauty of the cog and decided i didnt like her hair doo..... ok so i didnt like having riser bars on her, thow she rode well, and yess i rider he alot, the risers felt just off, so what did i do, that mad scientest of bike crazyness..... i put flat bars on her, and she now feels kinda different. dont know if she feels better, but different is a good word. i rode her once to a ultimate pratice, and well it was easier to climb the huge hills in st jay.

also i put a pair of crank bro's egg beaters on it as well, these are peddals that look like.... egg beaters. i mean come on, what else would they look like?

anyways that made a huge difference in performace, and hopping her is now totaly differnt. Im use to hopping (bunny hopping) a heavy huge urban bike (P2) and now i got a light small ghetto cog that responds like a..... um..... like a..... hum...... well.... like a.... man i cant think of anything not dirty to put down, so here ya go, she handles like a.... forget it this would get me in trouble.

any ways she is real responsive! and nice. the ride is very differnt and i am liking it, the flat short bars gives it a nice quick turn and the peddals gives the nice push pull effect so i think i might get some good trail time on it this spring and summer. the winter riding is great, she cuts the snow like a hot knife though butter!

i will post some new pics of me onthe bike in full down hill gear, ( it looks really funny) and some more pics of what is on it.

any more ghetto news on her
ok here ya go, i did trim down the tire and rode it once, i trimed some knobs off the front tire for better directional response.... dont get it, give me an e-mail or im and i can explain more, or i can tell you in a post or two. well in cutting off some knobs i got razor blade happy and cut toooooooo deeeeeepp in places, and you could see the fibers inthe rubber. so it got thin, the tire, and could have blown, so insted i bought a new tire and put that on the gary fisher and then got the fisher tire on the ghetto cog and now we are all good and dandy,

man icant wait for the snow to be gone and more mud, she will do great in mud, nothing to clog up or get nasty

so for now, im going to hike mt mansfield and ski down stoe, yessssss i am hiking in january and going to ski down the other side of the mountain, and yessss i know its going tobe cold, but remember i am still mountain biking in the woods and it is still cold and i only ride in shorts........ hum...... yes i have a screw loose, thats why i ride something like the ghetto cog

well im out
