The Decision

Hi all

Ok so in making plans for the Ghetto, i did alot of it when i was working nights. Now doing that was not the greatest idea and decision making time for anything. When you work swing shift and you are on nights 7pm to 7am, 12 hours of work, you get excited about every little thing. I end up surfing the web alot, and then i see or read something exciting like Trials riding or park riding, and then decided i need new gear or something. Thats when the wallet comes out and i start spending money, or i start to plan things.

Sooooo here is what happened with the ghetto, i was looken at some bike websights and i saw lots of monocog shit, then i decided to finally make the ghetto in to a monocog (single speed)

Originaly the Ghetto was a 18 or 21 speed rigid mountain bike, so that ment i had to get a conversion kit for the rear to make it into one speed. I have never built a monocog so this was going to take some reasearch. After three hours of dogpileing anything i could think of for single speeds and monocogs, i finally found a conversion kit that i thought would work. I bought it over the net, and about a week later it was at the door. I ripped open the packege and went to go install it ont he rear wheel and come to find out, yeah i didnt have the correct tools! i didnt have the tools to take off the caset. soo what did i do, make one hahahahahaha yeah i love being a qualified machinest. If i dont have it, and i got the time and material i will make it!

so thats what i did,
then i ordered the correct parts and tools

when i went to install the single speed kit i found that the spacers where too big, so what do i do, bring them to work the next day and take some material off on the leith, but guess what, i took alittle too much off

so then what do i do, i "barrowed" a spacer (washer) from work that would cover the job, and i hid it behind the cog, so that noone would know....

SSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dont tell any one

so there we go, i got it all mounted and ready to put the wheel back on the bike......... yeah..... um next post is going to be remounting the wheel

that was a nighmare

also when i do work on the cog, i am either onthe phone with a friend, family, or potential girl friend, or really earily waking up the roomate, or inthe middle of cooking.

i never pick the right time to work on the bike

thats why this is sooooo ghetto!!!!!

and i mean ghetto as in scatchy as in it could kill me, not the ghetto as in cheep a piece of shit bad way!!!!!

so there it is a pc bike
just ghetto

squid going back to work
later
